In the trunk of the Saturn, is a spare IIA transmission, transfer case and all.
The little 88" has now gone to a good home in Colorado.

Nice. Someplace I have a picture of my old '84 Nissan Sentra wagon with the rear tub of an 88 on the roof rack (yes, on the roof!) I'll try to find it.

The 2A looks alot different now... You did an outstanding job on it. I remember pulling home my s3 and the straps on those U-Haul 2 wheel rigs barely fit around my tires!! I wound up with an interesting concoction of ratchet straps and chains to keep my baby safe on the 700+ mile trip home.
Wow! What a great picture, that must have been the slowest trip of all time.....The lenghts we go to for our Landies!

I had the same experience with the Uhaul trailer. I just let all the air out of the front tires, and the wheel straps fit fine.

+1 I had to let some air out of the 88's tires for the straps to fit!
Daurie, thanks for the compliment; you've got a super nice Rover yourself!
I put a lot of work into the little beastie. Now all I have to do is decide what to restore next?
Oh I forgot to mention that Uhaul would not rent me the car hauler with the Saturn. They said a Saturn would not be capable of pulling a car (idiots). So I had to rent the trailer with my father's GMC Jimmy!

Classic photo!
Is this proof that 1.9 liters can be better than 2.25? :p
Thanks.

jp, thanks for putting this up. That is unbelievable - it's amazing you could stop!

All you have to do is pretend that you are braking in a Land Rover. Give yourself lots of rooooom to stop.
