I posted in the Series section because it is the most active and has the smartest people. :D

The Hella 4000 Euro beam kit sold here at RN.
Does it come with 55 or 100 watt bulbs??
http://www.roversnorth.com/store/p-5536-hella-4000-lamp-kit-driving-lamps.aspx
Was thinking of gettting them under the free shipping this weekend.
But I can't find anywhere on the site or the catalogs the wattage?

If get get a set on eBay for a few bucks cheaper that I know are 100 watt with the "city lights" with I like.
But I would rather go with who I know if I could get the information.

Thanks
Steve

and they look wicked mean :D

pm me if you want the info of where i bought them :)

i dont mean to step on our host,s toes but an opinion was asked :) if it is considered steeping on there toes than it is fine with me to delete this

Hi Steve,

I'd love to go down into the warehouse and personally check in each box for you, but I'm at home and won't be able to look until Monday morning. I'm pretty sure 99.9% that all Hella Rallye 4000s come with 100w H1 style bulbs except the fog lamps which are 55w and use the H3 style bulb.

Edit: I just checked Hella's site and that is how they are supplied to us.
http://cat.hella.com/hella232/jsp/details/content/Object.jsp?editedObject=&currentObjectId=CA%40USAData%40PR%40H12560021&currentObjectIndex=3&type=&SearchResultList=&backlinkId=1208655457705&cameFromSearchResult=true

Just add in the comments box that you would like to make sure they come with 100w bulbs and have city lights :thumb-up:. We'll take care of you. I hope this helps.

TRS53,

OK I went ahead and placed the order with a couple other items.
I add the note to the order.
If they are NOT 100 watt I want to cancel the whole order.
It is order number 11818.

Autoguy,

These aren't going on my Series. That rig doesn't go fast enough to need lights this powerful!!:D
They are going to mount on my new custom RTE bumper for my D2.
Just like this one only thicker and the rig is Kent Green.:thumb-up:

This kit is billed as "Off-Road use only" and after checking the part, yes it has 100w bulbs as standard.

Les,

Do they have the "city lights" feature?
Which is a second low wattage bulb just like the D2 head lights?

You may need them on the series too. Its not the speed, It's the time it takes to stop before you hit something. I have the 4000 Euro beam and love them for spotting deer while night driving (not spotlighting them mind you) I also had a set of 3000's which were just as good. The 500's aren't worth it. I have a set and even with the 100 watt bulbs they're no good.

why would you want this in an aux light?

what purpose could this serve.

Keep in mine these are going on my Discovery.

Just for looks.:D
I will run them off the "city lights" that are already in the stock Discovery headlights.

nothing against the idea, yet, in my home State of PA aux lights have to be covered (and not clear) when not in use and then only used in "off-road" situations so having a city light function would just scream to the local police.

I do use my aux lights at night on our backroads to avoid hitting deer although this technically is not an "off-road" situation.

thx.

No laws like that here in Michigan.
At least I have never heard of it.
Never see covers on the extra lights around here.

you might want to check before spending the money on a light that includes a feature you can't really use.

again, just food for thought.

in any case, Hella lights are great and you're buying a quality product.

They are not costing anymore money than without the city lights.

the 4000's are BRIGHT I use them on a couple of trucks on back roads. Its annoying to have to use normal headlights after having the Hellas on.
