The front exhaust pipe on my SIII is very loose. I've looked at various parts diagrams, but I don't see a sealing gasket, aka "donut". On my MG there is a sliding ring on the pipe that clamps to the manifold and seals with a round gasket. Before I disassemble the Landy, I'd like to know what parts to obtain and what to expect. How exactly is it put together? Disassembled pictures would be great.
Many Thanks
same on a series lll 4cyl. petrol

No donut on the landy. The tip of the pipe is rounded off, unlike the mgb where the donut slips over the pipe end to give it a rounded off tip. Other than the brass nuts, there is not much else you need , unless you snap a stud in the manifold while taking it off, however that does not sound like it will be a problem in your case.
Bertha is correct. I thought that is was you meant.
