So my buddy picked up a blue '67 bugeye series IIa rover here in Wilmington. The guy that was selling it had it since '72...lived in Miami but the rover stayed here in storage. The guy basically gave the thing away. Its in great shape. It runs perfect. Galvy frame. No rust. Figured I'd post a few pics. They're a bit dark but you get the idea...

Very nice!

I was about to tell you that it isn't a bug-eye but then noticed the plated up holes on the wings!

Yeah apparently the previous owner didn't like the bugeye look and just plugged the holes with sheet metal. Could be converted back pretty easy.

There's more to this story. Where did the galvanized from come from?

Previous Owner did it in '98. From what I understood, the body was a '67 and the majority of parts came from a '68 donor rover. I was surprized that there were no leaks underneath!

beauty! I think Bugeyes were only '69 though, right?

...my '69 bugeye (NADA as well) has wing reflectors. Fore and aft.

I spotted an overdrive. Saaaweeet!

Great looking Rover too. Enjoy!
