    Power Steering to Series IIA

Hello All, avid reader 1st post.

I'm trying to weigh the relative merits of a power steering conversion and the methods described on Terri Ann's page and the kit offered by Hystee Automotive (kit plus 150 pounds for shipping from allabout4x4.com)

I understand the logistical arguments against ordering a kit from England

Mechanically is the hydrolic ram sufficient and comparable to the addition of a steering box and pump?

Has anyone used the hystee kit or know anything about it?

Has anyone made the conversion by another means which is simpler using more readily available parts or without altering the steering wheel?

    Open to your input, thanks

the TI console stuff is lame. All parts including the pump are mounted low on the chassis. Other than the conveinence of a bolt on kit, it offers no advantage. The scout, p38, fj60 boxes are all more robust setups. A canned ham saginaw pump will provide more flow, and all of them are far easier to get parts for. It does require some fab work though.
