Has anyone put in a bolt-on crossmember under the transmission ?
Can I get a description of it ?

It looks just like the welded on type only... it's bolted on. Are you looking to switch your welded one for a removable one or are you just trying to replace a lost one?

I would replace my welded on one with a bolt on one.

I'll see if I can't get a picture of one tomorrow morning then.

Couldn't you....

Cut the welds to remove yours, then modify it so that you can bolt it on, w/o having to purchase one that's basically the same thing?

I was thinking the same thing--You're gonna have to get the old one off anyhow! Might as well be a little...sugrical...about it and simply fashion a flange to reattach it.

Since mthede's frame was designed and fabricated by him, this may be why it is not so simple.

I would like to see pics of the frame (and the whole thing for that matter), if you would be so kind.:)

Right, pictures are on the phone now but I've brought the wrong cable. Can't transfer to my computer.
Won't be able to post until tonight.

Right, and the pics I would like to see, are of mthede's frame-not just any old one. :)

Sorry if I wasn't completely clear there.

Here are some pictures of the standard frame. Sorry, not the exotic imagery some of you are looking for. :p
