Is there an oil filter conversion kit out there. I am looking for a spin on filter conversion. If anyone knows the part number for rover north, that would be helpful. I have the 2.25 petrol engine. Thanks!!

I have a brand new one of these little guys plus the proper filter (new too) that I decided not to use. I'd be willing to sell them both if you're interested.

i got mine from an owl that was wise and lives in Canada (hint hint). I had no problem installing it in 90 mins. the filter can be bought at a wal mart or an auto zone, its just a normal land rover v8 oil filter (they're all the same according to the little computer at wal mart may not be that trustoworthy). The best part was it was all over and done with for under $70.

Land Rover Geniune part from our hosts. Some of those spin on filters are made to varying degrees of quality. If you make a mistake on the installation, your engine is toasted. The Land Rover part is fool proof and only 30 more than the more popular spin on conversions.

the short of it is follow install instr. i put mine in backwards. worked great for 2 years. oil change with a filter that has an anti backflow valve (kind of a new thing) in it and the engine was oil-starved and died.
