I'm currently working on a SIII and believe I'm missing some interior bits. I'm looking for photos of original interiors so I know what to make. Using what I had for a pattern, I've made new panels and covered them in black vinyl. There seems to be part of the head rail missing on the back.

I made some knurled nuts from stainless rod to make removing the door tops easier:

Still working on the door panels, but I did not have an original to copy.

Any help appreciated.

I don't think there is a head rail along the back.

Perfect!

So the door tops were "not removable" originally or was the trim attached in a way that still allowed removal?

Nope, still removable. You just remove the top piece of trim and the arm rest. Not a big deal. Actually, IIRC you don't have to remove the armrest, but it looks kinda goofy if you don't.

There is something that goes along the back but I can't find a picture showing it and my hard top is at my shop. I'll see if I can get a pic of it for you!

Interesting, the SIII Station Wagon trim over the rear door is different from the SIIA (at least my SIIA).

This is of a 1983 Stage One I saw when I was in the UK last. It is very Series-like but upscale.

And The sponsor has trim pieces for sale,,,,
