So, a few months ago I bought a 67 109" SW (#413). It came with some spare parts, a lot of peeling paint, and an electrical problem that has yet to be puzzled out. It also came with a very thick folder of records from the last few owners, and among those records was a letter dated Jan. 1995 from someone at Rovers North named Jeffrey Aronson to the then owner, asking them to submit a story about their travels for the newsletter. I wonder if that story ever got published? I'd love to see it if it did; I've been able to piece a little bit of this trucks history together from all those records, but it seems this guy in particular made this little truck live up to its pedigree.

Oh, and Hi. I'm a Rover noob (recovering MG owner), so expect some stupid questions from me in the future... :)

Greetings! 1995 was a tad before I started with Rovers North, so I'm not sure if I ran this story in the news. I will make sure that Jeff gets in touch with you and we can continue the story and your Land Rover's history in a Rovers North News future issue.

1995.

I might have a copy somewhere. Never did get around to cataloging the newsletters... I'd have to do some digging.

I have issues as far back as 1987, as well as a few copies of The Aluminum Workhorse.

Actually, I'm surprised RN doesn't have these cataloged.

As my folks used to warn me, be careful of what you say or write as others may well remember it for you!

I remember editing the article and being rather jealous that the author traveled in warm places while I labored in my II-A all over northern New England in the winter :).

I am delighted that readers retain copies of the Rovers North News and that you saw your Rover in print. When I purchased the QM I, the other Rover in my "fleet," I was thrilled to find it photographed for a British Land Rover publication. It's now part of the history of that car.

DOES RN catalog back issues (electronically, and available somewhere)?

Thompson, how far back are you going to go? Back to the 1st newsletter?

Good question and we hope to properly archive the issues, however this takes a lot of time. Stay tuned.
