Interesting vehicle and definitely worth saving. Seems like it is definitely part land rover however either a lot of non-OEM parts were swapped onto the truck or it was a special build that followed some military specs (if it is the latter I would imagine that it would make the value skyrocket?)

I've always wanted a lightweight--Too bad I live 1000 miles away. It's impossible to tell from the "mile-away" photos, but it could be good basis for restoration to a "driver" status. Only $950 and 19hours left in the auction, too.

Alligatorfoot,

With the exception of the tires, that truck is bone stock--none of those parts are NON OEM--in fact it even has the Lightweight specific 2 pc tailgate.

A lightweight for $1000 is a decent deal, it'll need doors, but it looks to be mostly intact.

Thanks for the enlightment. I always like the idea of having something that is a little different that not everyone can easy get their hands on

It is definitely all stock but it is not a '67 since the first year they came out was '68 and all the 68-71's had the lights behind the grill. This is a '72 or newer.
