I went ahead and spend the cheese. I looked at these tires previously and at the time were not available in 235/85 16 but apparently sometime in sept. BFG started sending them out. BFG Mud Terrain KM2. Sorry for the dark pictures I just got home and it's raining too. Will get better ones soon!

Ive read alot of good things about those tires in petersons 4-wheel and off-road. How bad is the road noise going down the street with those on?------------------------------------------------

I drove home in the rain and I also have the soft top on (not that that makes much difference) and I didn't notice them at all. I know when I get up to speed on a dry day without the rain I'll notice them. They ride softer for sure. I expect to be very pleased off road.'73 SIII 88"

You are gonna love those tires!! I have a set on my FJ Cruiser (DDR) and they are not loud at all - a bit 'knobby' just as you come to a stop maybe. I just put a set of the Firestone Destination M/T's on my Rover because these weren't available yet and I like them a lot too - but the BFG just looks better on the Rover, I think. I also think the BFG will be better in clearing out the mud!
Great choice!

Greg! Welcome to the forum. Will make it by probably. Look up at the sticky threads and you will see a picture of your rover in the Bugeye registry LOL...
I'm excited about putting these tires to the test. After yesterdays rain there's plenty of muck to be found at the Wolf river trails I'm certain... if only I felt like cleaning for hours.'73 SIII 88"

lol, yeah, I saw the registry... I've yet to do any more research than Ben has already done.. I'd like to find more info on it.
But on the tire note... I agree with the cleaning aspect. I have the Disco to get muddy with ;-) but I think you'll be more pleased with this choice over the A/T's you previously told me about.
Give me a call before you stop by. My Son has soccer in the morning and I have to get with Ben at some point to pick up my top.'69 SIIA Bugeye

Daurie,
Nice looking tyres! I was wondering when they would come out with our tyre size.
Did you look at other brands. I know Bill Burke runs them on his Defender. Why did you decide to go this route?
Also who makes the rock sliders on your Series and can you send a picture showing the top mount of your High Lift jack please.
Thanks

This is a rough prototype top mount. I plan to re do it with thinner material and carriage bolts so I can put the hard top back on and retain the same mounting position. I'm hoping it will be thin enough to work and still very ridgid.
I have been eyeing the KM2's since they came out. I have heard good things about them and wanted something more aggresive than the A/T but different than the standard M/T. When the 235/85 16's became available I started thinking harder about it and the rest is history.
