The book details how to set the valve clearance on the 2.5 diesel---The bit of info that is missing is whether the process is done on 1) a hot engine, 2) a cold engine or 3) it doesn't matter.
I've seen other engines done each of the 3 ways, but the maintenance procedure always specified which of the 3 to use.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
