Solex carb to air intake adapter

    Hello,

I am looking for something to connect my solex to the air intake metal elbow. The rubber that was being used is no longer good. I think the heat and fuel vapors broke it down. The part is no longer availabe.
    I tried NAPA-

Can anyone suggest a piece that has worked for them?

I think the diameter is 2.5" and I only need about 4" in length or so.

    Thanks-
    Todd

That sounds good Les- I thought I called about this a few weeks ago and the sales person said that they were out of stock and did not expect any more in?

I will call in the morning to confirm my cloudy memory-
        Thanks Les-

I used a rubber pipe adapter that is used to join cast iron plumbing pipe. It has not shown signs of breaking down yet after 4 years. Cheap and plentiful, comes in a variety of sizes, durable, and is meant to have hose clamps around it.
