rear ladder install

Hello-

I have a good used original rear ladder I want to install on my 94 disco. I see how the top of the ladder goes over the top edge of the door. But where do the bottom brakets go to.

Do I have to remove the license plate light and holder and then it sneaks behind it?

Photo of the Genuine Land Rover rear ladder on Discovery I and Discovery II. I'll take a peak at on our Discovery I (on the left) in the morning to confirm mounting, looks like under the plate light.

Thanks- I think it does go under the plate light housing. I must have to take off the rear door panal to get access to it.

While you are in there, don't forget to Waxoyl the inside of the rear door panel...
