    80" Shocks

Will the shocks here fit a 1953 Series 1 80"?

If not, does anyone have experience of which shocks do?

    Greetings !
Standard Series II/IIa/III shocks will fit on the Series I, the Procomp might be a tad longer than you need them to be, so the Proline shocks we offer, would be a better way to go :-

    Hope this helps.

      Hi Les,

Thanks for your reply. Couple of quick questions... are they priced individually or for a set of two?

Do you happen to know what the extended length and compressed lengths are? I note you mention that the Pro Comp ones are a bit longer, is it the compressed length you're concerned about or the extended?

Who makes Proline? I can't seem to find a manufacturers website for them.

      Thanks

The Proline are the same dims. as original.
I belive the manufacturer is Woodhead or Armstrong.

Procomp are recommended when you switch to parabolic springs, they are approx 3" longer extended that stock

Ok Les, I'm with you now, basically the Pro Comp shocks fit but you feel they're not really necessary unless you have parabolic springs fitted.

The Proline ones, is the price in the links a price for a pair? I presume it is, but I'd like to double check!

            Mr/ms Britpat,

Yes, the price shown on our web page is for each shock absorber. Each one is supplied with the bushes for top and bottom.
