Hi there. New around here, not new to Rovers or forums. In fact I suspect I will see some familiar faces here. Looks like there's quite a bit of traffic, that's a good thing.

Mr. Toad is getting some deserved medical attention. After driving him off the boat (bought him in the UK) in 2007, I did little more than fix a fuel filler hose, a turn signal lamp and put some duct tape around a busted hose in the air intake. Drove it around like that, including three days of "wheeling".

The hood is off, so is the valve cover, the oil pan and the front engine cover for a crank shaft seal replacement. The radiator is at the radiator shop to get fixed up. Parts are coming in....hoses, seals, plugs brake parts and more. The brakes are coming apart, for good reason. I can see why stopping power was limited.

Front fenders were badly beaten, first in, then out. Straightened them out, somewhat, and primered them.

Bulkhead needs reworking/replacing, but he lives inside, heated, so I think we can consider it in an arrested state of decay for now. Maybe next winter.

Wow - looks just like my '66 II-A HT, the QM I, same color and condition outside. It's LHD and very, very stock, after a former life as a farm truck in Vermont. Now it's a working truck in Maine.

Good luck with getting yours back on the road!

Jeff

Greeting Oscar,

Nice to see anther member. Good looking Rover, hope you get it back on the road soon.

By the way, I'm impressed to see someone actually using a tool cart. Wish I could put myself into that habit, maybe I would'nt spend so much time looking for tools!

Oh yeah, and I envy the lift. Maybe one day....

Have a good holiday,

Travis

The shop has been a lifelong dream...

Four years ago I started laying concrete block, putting up the old beams, rafters, flooring roofing, windows and doors, floor (with heat) the lean to and on and on.... My best guess 1500+ hours.

Just recently hooked up the sewer and water, and buried the electric.

The lift is from this place (http://www.gregsmithequipment.com/).... Cheap Chinese, but I am careful with it. For a hobbyist it does the job.....

Still have to put the brick up to match the house.....this spring.

Very nice indeed, Oscar. A bright roomy workspace makes all the difference. Actually the first thing I was drawn to in the photo was not Mr. Toad but how clean an organized your shop looks. (and the lift. I hate you.)

I miss my old garage. When we sold our house last year and moved to a rental I lost valuable work space to the necessity of storage. We've been watching the real estate market patiently for our next home and hopefully it will be soon. I have an 88 project that needs a proper shop!

I have to be organized....otherwise you can't see what you have, or what you're doing.
