    Brake Drum Screws

In another post I read that some people are running three screws in their brake drums. I have only every had one screw in them. Which is correct?

    Thanks

One screw in the drum is fine. The screws only real purpose was, I am told, to hold the drum on the axle before and during assembly until the wheels were put on.

I used to have difficulty removing the screws so just eventually discarded them.

If you do reuse then, apply some never-cease but be careful it doesn't get into the drum.

I was told the screws center the drum, as the lug nuts do very little to make that happen.....

One of my rear wheels only has a hole for one screw. All the others have three. Go figure.
