    Recommendations on Speedo rebuild

The digital numbers on the odo of my 97 D90 are barely visible anymore. Any recommendations on a place that repairs this issue?

I think ECR has figured out a fix for these.

You may be able to easily repair this yourself. In most cases, it is the ribbon cable to the display that goes bad, not the display itself.
Remove the speedometer. Remove the case from the speedo. Remove the ribbon cable (there should be small clips that retain it to the 'plug' on the circuitboard). Count the number of conductors (maybe need a magnifing glass). Order a replacement on ebay or from an electronics parts house.

Ribbon cables are commonly used on many electronic devices, especially notebook computers. If you are lucky, you should be able to track one down with a little research.

Might be worth a try, anyway.
