I am looking for a 88 frame that someone would be willing to part with, i don't have the money to but a new galvy one now... I would be willing to sand and paint it. I will be using it for a rebuild and i don't like to do structural welding.
Any leads would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,

Good condition, has some surface rust but is in good shape.

Ethan you should look into that, I assume the RHD specific frame just has fuel tank mounts on the other side i could help you switch.

I think the big/only difference between a RHD and a LHD chassis is the hole in the front cross member for the steering relay. I believe on the 88, the fuel tank is on the right hand side regardless of where the driver sits.

The difference between RHD and LHD on handed frames (OEM) is where the steering relay hole is. Fuel tank on any Civi 88 is always on the right side.
New frames today come through with two steering relay holes so they be used for L or RHD.

Sorry Moose, I guess I didnt read all the posts.
That frame on ebay is in Calif, so unless you know someone who drives truck, it could get expensive. Certainly alot more expensive than puting the relay hole in the left side of RN's frame. If it were me, I'd skip the relay entirely, and do a power steering mod, then it makes no difference what side of the road the frame originally went down.

right I forgot about the steering relay because of how all the new frames come with two holes. Ethan we could easily change this steering issue.

Wow. Powder coated chassis and a no-reserve auction. Should be interesting to watch this auction...Even with shipping costs, this may be a good deal...

Mark, stop drueling over it. It won't fit under your 109..:)

It'd be easier to fit my 109 onto that chassis than it would be to convince my wife that we need to spend any money on the Rover right now. Otherwise, I'd have a rear tailgate on the way :(

You see Mark, that's where you went wrong, you "asked". I just bought one knowing I'll suffer the consequences at some point of her choosing! But in the interm I have a nice shiny tailgate to put on my future trailer project! No risk, no reward.
