    Ring gear for SIIa

I am looking at upgrading my rear axle to 24spline shafts posible a locker etc. I have read most of the posts on this process.

However what I have not seen is the mention of swaping out to a stronger ring gear. My question is does anyone out there make a 4.7 gear set which is stronger than the stock set?

yes Great Basin Rovers sells them- 4.75's KAM might too-.

If you are going to go to the trouble though why not go with 30 spline and a toyota 4.7 ratio diff?

Well the main reason is I don't have access to a welder or drill press, it all would have to be farmed out for that work. In the end I think it would cost way more than I want to spend at the moment.
