My new speedometer has a trip function while my origional one did not. Is all I need to make it function a reset cable? I can't find any info in my shop manual.
    Thanks,
    Jim

The answer is a short piece of stuff that fits over something in the bottom of the speedo that you can rotate to change the trip setting

          Speedo trip cable

          Hello there,
Due to our largesse stock, we were able to help Jim with a NOS trip cable # 540128.
          Glad to help.

            Trip odometer

Les was correct. All I needed was a IIa trip reset cable (part #540128) which comes complete with all necessary hardware. All I need to do is find (or drill) a mounting hole in the dash or bulkhead and install. Will let you know how it turns out (no pun intended) as I should get it by tomorrow. Once again RN to the rescue.

              Auto Shutoff Feature

I wonder if RN sells a string to hook to your keychain that pulls the headlight fuse?
