another tire ??? Dunlop Radial Mud Rovers?

I have heard good things about these tires and am looking for some additional feedback from the group.

This is my first and only Series LR so I can't give any comparison between other tire makes. My first tire choice was the Mud Rovers, However I purchased a wider tire and wish I would of purchased size 235/85's instead because of the tire rubbing on the front leaf springs at full lock. I adjusted the wheel stops and this killed my turn radious. Other than the larger size I don't think they are louder than my LR so I can't really hear them on the road while driving. My 88 must be light cause it took over 3,000 miles before the tread hairs wore off. After having them for over two years they still look new with little tread wear.

Haven't had the Mud Rovers; I had the Radial Rover R/T on a Disco, really really loved them, they were a great tire. Once upon a time they were available in 7.5R16 size, but I don't think so anymore, but should have a 235/85R16. I wouldn't hesitate to get them again.

I'm running the Radial Rover R/T on my ex mod 109, 235/85-16. I also had them on a 91 Range Rover Hunter I used to have. I'm very happy with them, a good all around tire.

I had the mud rovers on my last Series and liked them a lot. People complain about the noise but in a Series truck that is moot.

I have Rover R/T on my 92 RRC and BFG mud km’s on my Series. If I had money, I would sell the BFg and buy Rover R/T’s for all my trucks. :thumb-up:

They work very good off road and quiet on the highway

Have had them for a year, and they still look new. They hook up with the mud, and they are a smooth ride.

I have heard the noise criticism as well. Really, I don't think they are (even without a top). What a ridiculous thing to be concerned about when driving a Series.

Got the Dunlop Mud Rovers and think they are great. I drove about 200 miles (total roundtrip) on them this past weekend to a Florida Land Rover Club rally and they performed perfectly. Great traction in the fine, sugar sand we have down here and realy didn't notice any exceptional noise on the road. I wound it up to about 60 mph most of the way and the ride was smooth.
