You asked for it . . . here it is

1982 Land Rover Series III

88" | 2.25 diesel | 80,800 miles | Private Sale

Best 4x4xFar

(http://www.cuis.org/1983foto20.jpg)The Series III: Built from 1971 - 1984 in the UK. It was sold in the US until 1974. The Series III was used in the 1983 Camel Trophy in Zaire, considered one of the most dangerous and the only Camel Trophy conducted in Africa. This is one, tough, extremely fun to drive, serious off road vehicle. It is NOT a 90 or a Defender but many of their parts are inter-changeable. Many consider the Series III, the last of the true Land Rovers and the toughest. Click Here (http://www.cuis.org/#Click Here) for detailed technical specifications for the Land Rover Series III 88". (http://www.cuis.org/#Here are the detailed technical specifications for the Land Rover Series III.)
According to Land Rover Magazine, only the "Series" Land Rovers are

increasing in value. Series Land Rovers are a great investment !
For example: NADA Classic "Average Retail": 1974 $13K, 1966 $14K

1982 Series III: Green bottom, cream hard-top. Defender Brush Guard, 8" Spot Lights, Diff Protectors, Uniden Elite CB, a few, small "character dents". Body is aluminum and galvanized. Four passenger version. Tires still have a lot of tread. Maintenance records since 2002. Very Good Condition ! Refurbished inside and out - Looks Great !

Very Clean Interior, no rips or tears

Right Hand Drive (RHD) is not hard to drive at all - actually fun. Pedals are the same (clutch on left, brake middle, accelerator right), as is the shifter (typical H pattern). Great for checking the mailbox :) 12 Gears: 4 in high, 4 in low, 4x4 in high and low (forward and reverse), reverse in high and low.

Parts: NO problem at all. Many websites carry all the parts and accessories you'll want/need. Prices are very reasonable. Engine is very clean for a diesel - not painted over. Runs great.

Beautiful Rover. If I hadn't just purchased my '04 Disco, I would have jumped on this. Any pictures available of the chassis or more of the engine bay to show everyone interested?

Disregard that photo request - just went to the website.
