what kind of lockers??? 2a 109

Hello all,
I have these lockers on my rig just wondering about them. they have two thin metal peices on pivots on one side it says free on the other locked, its a old military 109 ambulance that has a regular back on it,( civie conversion) just wondering about these are they heavy duty? work great just wanna know:D

Lockers generally refer to locking differentials...
