Door locks

I have a 99 Disco II w/ a door lock problem on the driver side. The doors will lock w/ the keyless remote, but won't unlock w/ it. The LR dealer said I needed to change out the locking mechanism @ $400 per door. Has anyone had this problem? Is it hard to take the door apart to look at/change out the actuator if needed?

Front doors are not bad, back doors are real fun.


Not sure on price, give rovers north a call, can't find the part via their web site... I am sure it is just me.

The issue is more than likely the drivers door and it is the command door.

I've had issues with front doors before, it can be a real pain sometimes.
