    7:1 Head Spark plugs

I am finishing up a truck that I had the motor rebuilt with a 7:1 head. I usually do 8:1, but I stuck with what this truck came with. What spark plugs work best N8 or RN11Y? My Haynes manual says N8, however an old tech article I had said RN11Y. Any thoughts? I usually run N12Y in the 8:1 trucks.

I run a 7:1 as my daily driver. I have been using the Champion RN11YC40 for a few years now. the 40 means they have been pre-gapped at .040" for electronic ignition. I closed the gap to specs for points ignition. I left them at .040" when I changed over to pertronix and uprated my coil.

Either way they work fine, cheap, available everywhere, and spend the extra bucks on gas to go further into the backcountry.
