I am getting my Series hard top repainted in the standard Limestone (vanillia) color. Does anybody have a standard brand paint color code to match it to? It is already well painted with the bottom/sides painted in the right color and the top tub painted in a bright white. So the plan is to just overcoat it all with a new coat of paint to be the right color.

Thanks,
Jeff

for those that are not familiar with lrfaq site, there is a very good reference to Series paint codes listed there:

http://www.lrfaq.org/Series/Other.paint.Codes.html

also some other good stuff on the site as well.

I got what I needed and greatly appreciate the quick and informative response everyone. I stopped to look at my top. The new alpine windows are in already by my buddy who is doing it so sorry that I didn't get their installation documented. Except that he said that the magic tool for the rubber weather stripping was the cats meow and really aided in the installation. So it is available for the next user.

Thanks again,
Jeff

Huh, magic tool? What? I must have missed something...

My "magic tool" for installing window gaskets has always been a length of thin nylon rope and a dollar store bottle of glycerin dish soap. :D

You still want to use a lubricant (I usually used Dawn because it's what was in the kitchen on the sink), but something to spread the gasket and allow you to feed in the lockstrip like one of the ones in that link help a lot....
