    Wiper switch

Anyone tried one of these universal wiper switches? I need the two speed switch but $100+ seems a little high.

That looks like a Cole-Hersee switch which will work for you and provide two speeds as long as your motor will support 2spds. You'll need a '68 or later wiper motor (the single motor in the dash) with THREE little wires running from the plastic plug box into the motor winding itself. Many only have two wires and these will only run one speed. You can still use that switch... but the first click will be worthless.

I think that switch has a push-button washer feature that can work with the wipers.

Now, how to wire the motor so that the blades "park" at the bottom of the windscreen...??? I'm still working on that. I believe it's possible, I just haven't figured out how yet.

I don't know but you might find that switch even cheaper by skipping the middle man and going right to a Cole-Hersee source. You'll find many other cool, quality, and reasonably priced DC electric gagets too!!

      Kind regards, Josh

Where is the one for $100+? The two on the linked page are for $31 and $29.

The LR switch part number 575146 runs $100+. I just wanted to make sure that there is nothing special about it that would make the universal one useless.

As far as the park on the motor, if you have term 4 coming off the fuses, 1 to ground and 2/5 (high/low not sure which is which) attached to the switch then the motor should park when shut off. At least that's the way it looks on the wiring diagram.

Right. But if you don't have the original LR switch (as I don't) it's hard to wring out what positions 1,2,4, or 5 do or how they relate to this new switch

            Kind regards, Josh

I'm in the same boat. I have a two speed motor but a single speed switch (PO wiring 24-12v conversion)
