    Brake connectors

Related to my earlier post...someone told me to use teflon tape on the threaded brake line connections. Is this recommended to help seal? TIA

Teflon tape as a sealing mechanism only really works for NPT type threads. Other threaded fittings in your brakes either use some kind of flare nut with formed tube end or a sealing washer. Teflon tape is therefore unecessary and, although unlikely, could in the worst case interfere with the designed sealing mechanism which is not a good thing on brakes. It is, however, a really good idea to use anti sieze for when thigs have to come back apart sometime in the future. You will thank yourself.
