Blower motor plug melted

I have a 2003 Disco that the blower died. After looking at it I
found that the plug on the blower motor had melted and if I held it just right the blower would run fine. All the speeds work but the plug and wires do start to get hot. Any ideas please.

If I were to guess I would say the motor is drawing too much power, probably due to the fact that it may be going bad.
