Oil Filter Housing Gasket...Oval Holes??

I have a RN gasket for the Oil Filter Housing that has oval (instead of round) holes, unlike the photo in the catalog.

I guess it'll work, but instead of the oil having a nice straight shot into and out of the block, it now will sort of leak and flood the casting cavity in the aluminum housing where it bolts on.

Seems like the wrong part to me. Called RN...no information.

I ran into the exact same problem with this gasket from RN. I ended up using an older gasket that I had with round holes that lined up properly. Wish I had taken pictures, but I didn't.
