Remember that thread we had about redoing bulkheads? Looks like someone finally acted on it.

Got to say the CAD drawings look impressive. They have a chart for data and do have the peices missing from current repair sections such as the reinforcement peice on the footwell.

But, with shipping and distance, I still think you are better off having Pangolin4x4 in the states restore your bulkhead.

Maybe our hosts can work a deal to bring some of the parts. Like the stiffner...

Interesting, and not that expensive when you get down to it. I had about 800U.S. in my bulkhead resto (including buying primer and paint) and that was doing it myself.

P.S. That stiffener is easy to make, surely someone here could do it cheap.

I bet it's really expensive. 899 Sterling, about $1400US, plus duty... and then there's no such thing as UPS Ground from the UK so it'll be expensive to ship no doubt. So... if RN could get a line on them, put a few in the next container for folks that pre-ordered... then voila!

Fine,

Lets assume it'll cost a grand to get it here. That comes to 2400 bucks based on your conversion for a brand new galvy bulkhead. I bet plenty of folks would gladly shuck that out. Especially those who don't have the fab skills. Heck, I have the skills, and I'd of thought about it if this had been an option before I did mine (it was basically shot from the dash down).

You may be right (i have no idea), it might be even more than that by the time you get it here. But, If you've got to have one, you've got to have one.

Would like to see some good pics of what it looks like before spending 2k+.

I saw a repro. bulkhead from the UK about 4 years ago. I wasn't that impressed with the quality of workmanship. Maybe these guys are better now, but I'm not holding my breath.

Is anybody else chomping at the bit for one of these?

Maybe we could arrange a group discount and/or shipping arrangement.

If anyone is interested Pegasus quote me 300 to 400 BPS to ship to Maine. I'm considering it but need to find a part time job to pull it off.

Cheaper to call Ike. $800USD goes a long way in getting Ike to restore a bulkhead.

I bet at the end of the day that it's cheaper to get Ike's all things considered.

Jim do you have a IIa? John Dorr will probably have a rebuilt/galvanized IIa bulkhead for sale in a couple months. I imagine he'll either put it on G&R or eBay.
