Greetings to all,

I was browsing craigslist for some parts and found a '64 IIA parts vehicle in Durham, NC (too far for me). However, I do think the parts make it worth more than its $995 asking price though!

Anyways, the listing shows it with a diesel engine, but it sure looks A LOT like my 2.25L. So, 2 questions:

1. Is there a stock diesel engine for series rovers?
2. If yes, how would you visually ID it?

Thx,

Brian

one way to tell is that the petrol models have carbs while diesels have injector pumps. The series in the photo does have a rochester carb on it so that model shown is a petrol.

The motor in the pic is not a diesel. I would say that the easiest way to identify a diesel motor is that it doesn't have a carb, and has an injector pump.

Spark plugs are a good indicator as well.

Isn't that a Kodiak heater blower?
