Eight years ago when I was working on an old 88 I had I used a rust protectant on my vehicles bulkhead etc.

I cannot remember what is was called. It was a three step(?) process coating. You buy and can brush or spray on.

There is a red 88 out there in New England somewhere that is well protected by this stuff.

Can anyone help me out with the name of this stuff and their suggestions?

Thanks

I guess you could call POR-15 a three step process since the instructions call for a wash with Marine Clean then an application of Metal Ready and finally the paint coat. In reality the POR-15 rust paint is applied in 2 coats. And if you want UV protection or a different color or sheen thn you must top coat.
I will say this, POR-15 is about the hardest coating I have ever used. You can't even chip it once it's cured.
