Found these today and couldn't pass them up. Just like new. Didn't know we could find them this clean. Almost no miles. It just doesn't run.:(http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2577/3956634698_e432aca853.jpg

Awwwhhh poor baby...:D (just kidding with you)

I hadn't even seen this post.

Are the frames in good conditon, bulkhead rusted out or no?

You'd think new member superpowerdave would like the Defender since he's got a 109 from an archaeologist that he's been asking about in thread "1964 109 3 door questions"

Actually my kids would love those, come to think of it, where'd you get them?

Just a plain ole 10meg dig camera in front of the sidewalk bushes.

My father dug the Land Rovers out of his Matchbox collection and gave them to me when I picked up my 88", including an original dark green #12 of the 109" variety (see East Coast Rovers' Matchbox page (http://www.eastcoastrover.com/Matchbox.html)). I'll have to hit up Walmart on the way home one of these nights and see if I can pick up one of the Defenders.

I'll definitely snap some picks of my small caravan and post them here.

I keep searching but I haven't been able to locate a toy version of my Series rover.

I'm looking for an early SIIA 88" Station Wagon. Anyone have one ? Take a pic please and show me they exist :)

Here you go. A little on the pricey side for 1/43 scale.

But according to Octane Magazine a SIIA is the number 4 coolest car.

The Matchbox Land Rover (green safari 109) was part of the inspiration for me getting a real green safari 109, so I can certainly appreciate the liking for these miniature versions:
