Good afternoon

I am looking at picking up some waxoyl for my Defender 110. Has anyone used the aerosol cans to apply? I'd love to pick-up the proper kit but don't have the coin at the moment. Am I wasting my time hitting the worst spots with the cans? Has anyone used an electric paint sprayer to apply the bulk product?

Thanks
Henry

The aerosol cans are designed as touching up after the air-gun application.
See the link for a better explanation of this:

Please advise if we can help further.

Sure the professional grade application stuff is best, but you will get decent results with just the aerosols themselves. It lasted 3 years or so underneath my 90 with no re-applicaitons. I'd say its definitely better than going unprotected.

I waxoyled using cans of the hard wax on my frame and complete underside and cans of 120-4 in the doors, in the frame rails, in the bulkhead, basically anywhere the rust worm can go. I also removed my entire exhaust, gastank plate and other bits for better coverage. Going on three years, no problem...it's all in the prep...and it's a NASTY job...:thumb-up:
