I was at NAPA last week trying to find a 3/32 dia X 2-7/8 OD O-ring to see if it would fit the brass hub dial and seal adequatley.. I struck out. They didn;t have any o-rings that large. (they they did have the inner ones) Anyway.. The sales guy looked around a bit and found a Ford 7.3 L diesel thermostat gasket that seems to be a near perfect fit.
It has a square cross section. For $.99 I picked it up to try. It fits the dial but isnt a 100 circumfrential seal in the housing. Not haveing the original Warn worn out seal to compare.. Does anyone know how well the oroginal seal actually fit?
Thanks.. Talbot...
