Nice first post..............http://www.roversnorth.com/forums/images/icons/icon13.gif

Good luck getting 3k+ for that truck. I sold a much nicer and rarer 51 a couple years ago(when things were a lot better) and was barely able to get the $3,500 I was asking and mine was much more complete and a lot less modified. BTW why would you remove the crank for towing?

FYI, there is a section for vehicles for sale-you may have better luck selling your truck if you posted there(in the correct spot)

Thank you BERTHA for the critique and history lesson which was very informative. All is well in the jungle now and your territory restored as the advertisement was moved to the correct area. :thumb-up: Additionally, I'm sure yours was much better than mine. :(

I think he meant drive shaft disconnected? I think it looks solid for 3K. Its not the usual rusted to nothing parts truck for 3K. My 2 cents.

There's absolutely no reason to flame a new person.

Thanks for posting your truck for sale Cochranmd04! Really doesn't look that bad for a 51 year old piece of outdoor machinery. Good luck!

Yupper....a good candidate for a winter project (maybe a few winters..and summers) but as far as I know Rover isnt making any more Series 1's so if you got the hankering.....you gotta pick what is out there.

Just envision this old gal in bronze green, with nice capping all freshly galvinzed and a tan cloth top.

Just a ton of money, skinned knuckles, time and obsession will get her there!~

I wonder if it comes with a VHS tape of "The Gods Must Be Crazy"

I, for one, hopes that he can get in excess of 3k for it. Will make mine all the more valuable. People think the ser2 is bare bones driving, try running a ser1 for a daily. There ad shows there is a lot more to work with than when I bought my poor 88",ser1. Just think, you could turn it into this:
