I have put the hard top on since I've moved to the cold of CT and the soft top wasn't going to cut it. I mounted the top and got the rear door on fine but now I've come to putting the bottom dear door seal on and can't figure it out. Which way does it go? There is a notch that I think fits into the door opening, but it doesn't work with the lip and holding the rubber in. Pictures or an explaination please.

I don't think you have the correct retainer for the seal.

I think i was sent the wrong metal piece. I'll get in touch with the folks here at RN to see about getting the correct one.

There are actually 2 pieces of galv you will need -a top piece (which is illustrated in TJR's pics) and a bottom piece that has a J profile that you can't see in the pics. The OEM seal sits in the J-channel and the flat piece of galv covers over it, as you can see in TJR's pics) just be aware that the OEM seal is no longer available and if you order one you will be getting a defender type seal, which works but look a bit different.

To add a little more... The seal is sandwiched between the two pieces of metal. You will run a screw through the top metal piece, through the seal, then through the bottom piece...and finally through the tub. I have the defender seal on mine and it works prefect....so don't worry about that.
