Crud in my front axle tubes

Because my swivels are shot, I began to tear them down. I got the passenger side off, down to the axle tube, and yanked the seal. Then shined a light in the tube. Looks like the crud that inside the swivel got past the seal. There's a pile just behind the seal, and more spattered on the inside of the tube.

Option 1) Just spray it all down into the diff with carb cleaner/degreaser/or something and then drain the diff.

Option 2) Pull the diff, and clean everything out.

I'm pretty sure I know which option everyone here will vote for.

Photos stink, but you can make out what I'm talking about.

I have seen a lot worse. Spray, wipe, and button it up. Fill with new ep90 and run for a couple of 100 and change.
