He is a bit of a hack, but his video's are very entertaining.

Found them a few weeks ago - spent about 3 hours watching them back to back. Agree with Bertha, not sure I want Pete painting my truck, but I'd love to spend a weekend at his garage.

his videos about him building the truck to take down to winter romp were very entertaining... as where the ones of him trying to make it back to riverport lol. I'm looking forward to seeing how his V6 conversion comes out

First one I saw was "88 in a day." He gets more done in a "day" than I get done in a month. Looks like he's enjoying what he's doing.

Thanks for starting the subject!

Interesting videos, good stuff. It's great that he took so much time to create, edit and post these up - loads of work with the computer stuff, let alone the Land Rover conversions!

Here's a video I like.

Thanks for making me smile and laugh out loud.

Although I have not had the pleasure of meeting Peter in person, I have it on good information from a good friend further north that he is one of the good people. I am always going to be a member of MORE principally because of members like Peter and plan to be for a very long time.

RN - you guys should get some of the plastic body panels from Tomcat Motorsports. I'd love to convert my rover's corroding aluminum to plastic easy-to-replace panels.

I went rooting around and found a couple of videos I took back in 2002 when I went off-roading with a few guys in Maine. Chip arranged the afternoon, not sure who the other folks are.

Recognize anyone?

Here's how to fix your links so they preview properly, it's easy to do.

1. Just find youtube vid you want and copy the alpha numeric section only after the first = in the url;

"dLvlfAyduvA"

2. Paste this in the forum window where you type and want it to show.
3. Highlight it.
4. Hit the little red "Tube" in the WYSIWYG tool bar and paste again.

Looks like this but replace the outer "<" with a "[" and ">" with a "]"
<YOUTUBE="dLvlfAyduvA"]dLvlfAyduvA[/YOUTUBE>

It is a mountain west of Buxton. I'll try to remember where it was.

Brent the videos are great! The 88" got all hung up on the rock very funny. The commentary was perfect.

Really wish I had a video camera back in the day when I lived in NorCal, the Tahoe thrashing would have been epic :eek: .

Wish I could take credit for that commentary but I would hand the camera over to Chip's passenger so that I could be in some of them. All you need to do with this shot is to photoshop some guys with paddles in the bed of the pick-up! Tell folks that you only do 'Green' off-roading!

Q - What has twice the fuglyness of a diamond plate interior, with none of the utility?

A - A faux diamond plate interior.

Bonus points for putting it on the dash.

Sad. He's done making the videos and retiring from rovers - I really enjoyed these.

The end catalogues some of the parts and vehicles he'll be liquidating.

I was shocked to hear this. I have no idea how he made the decision going from all of the rovers he has (sounds like a lot) to not even one. Hopefully he wont get rid of them all, and just down size his fleet because one is more managable than 10. I was looking forward to many more videos but i wish him the best of luck.

Sounds like his wife and family happened. I've been told more than once that I need to dial it back a bit. Lucky for my wife I only get crazy for 3-4 months at a time and then I take a year off. I just can't seem to stay focused on any one thing for that long.

The videos are great, The program that shows the road speed with a stock motor is depressing.
