So I enjoy getting carried away with things. That being said, I'm going to decorate my rover into a travesty of Christmas spirit! NOTHING is off limits (I'll be repainting the whole thing almond come warm weather). I've found a few ideas on teh interwebs; what do you folks think? Suggestions? Ideas? Horror stories?

And please don't rain on my Christmas; nobody likes a Grinch.

If you have a green car, this will look really neat. If you don't, it will still look pretty cool. Pick out a few of your favorite ornaments. They should be larger ones, so they can be seen. If your favorite types of ornaments are the colored glass balls, then you can purchase a few of the plastic ones. The kind that are made to go outside in the tree. Hang these around your car. A few outside and a few inside will do the trick. They now sell Christmas lights for your car. These plus directly into your cigarette lighter. Purchase a strand or two of these, and line the inside of your car windows with these. You should stay away from placing anything on your front window as that can result in a ticket and it's not worth that hassle. Just line your side windows and maybe the lower part of your back window. If you have a luggage rack or a tire hanging on your car, wrap these with Christmas garland. They sell so many kinds of this, so you can purchase any kind you would like to match the rest of your decorations. If you have a car antenna, then you can purchase an antenna topper. Purchase a star or an angle so it works as the tree topper. Using Velcro, stick a few small stocking holders on your bumper. Purchase small plastic stockings and using a marker, write the first letter of your family's names on it. I don't recommend placing your names on it because you don't want strangers knowing your children's names. A few candy canes added to the car will complete your Christmas tree look.

Perfect for white or light blue color cars. If you're looking for something with a little more classic look, this is the one for you. Purchase a roll of fake snow, it looks like fuzzy felt. You can decorate your dash board, inside of doors and the lower parts of your windows with this. Get some snowflake magnets of all sizes to place on the outside of your car. They should be thick heavy duty magnets, so they will last in the weather. You will also need a Santa (http://www.associatedcontent.com/theme/1677/santa.html) clause and Ms. Clause to complete your look. You can either used stuffed figures or I have seen bobble heads for your car. These will look great as well. A few window stickers of elves working and reindeer walking around will look nice on the windows. Red velvet Stockings can be hung inside of your car to complete this look.

I'll definately turn my spares in wreathes, and the lights will be easy. Any other ideas? I want this to be a train-wreck of a rover christmas!

Styrofoam ball from a craft store, spraypainted red. Battery operated lights pushed into the styerfoam with the batter pack taped inside my bumper...kids loverd it. This year I will pack the back of the Rover with empty gift wrapped boxes to complete it.
