I live in the Chicagoland area and I was told at a car show to contact them if I need anything done, but then I saw his prices. Very expensive, I am sure they do good work but way to high for me

Don't know how often they update the site. That 109 has been for sale for well over a year I'd say.

I don't see anything in the description indicating what the holes in the lower part of the front doors are for...

if you goto the link at the top of this page and click on the 109 picture from Cooper's site, more pictures are avail. On of them shows a close up of the door and describes it as the external fuel filling point for one of the 2 forward tanks. makes sense if you look at thier location on the body but i wonder if it's just a hole in the door and the fuel filler is on the front seat box. I have a 88 so i'm not quite sure the construction of the cab in a 109.

It's not they. It's David Cooper. One person. He doesn't do land rovers anymore, last we spoke. He will refer you to either Lanny or Charles. He only restored them to keep fill in for his other restos. He hasn't taken any recently. HAs a couple great projects in the shop though.

That truck is pretty cool. I've seen it several times. He has done several others as well. It was purpose built to client spec. Truck was supposed to go on a long overland adventure but never did. Divorce or something like that. It's been laid up for at least 5 years now.

George Hanley is who I would suggest going to. His son has a series and he has several clients with series. Nice guy and a good mechanic.
