SERIIA88 "88" DISK BRAKE CONVERSION

Hi all,

The time has come to bring my 1966 series IIa "88" "regular" (cloth top), parabolic sprung Land Rover into the 21st century, well, sorta.

At the very least, I'd like to convert my single-circuit drum brakes to a dual-circuit system with disk brakes on the front axle. The ultimate would be a four-wheel disk conversion, or even a chassis swap/coil spring convesion.

The question is: What is the best, AVAILABLE conversion available today? I've seen various conversions described over the past few years, but I really don't know what's available today.

Any thoughts on the subject?

check out Terri Ann's site, www.expeditionlandrover.info (http://www.expeditionlandrover.info) and look at the options she has written about. I have been exploring this option myself, and am considering a Tim Cooper package, if they are ever reproduced. Otherwise, I will possibly look at the Haystee package, which uses Santana parts. Harder to find pads and rotors locally, but the internet is your friend with these old rovers.
