I'm looking in the D90/110 bible for the correct torque for the engine main bearings and connecting rod bearing caps. None listed under the 2.5 litre Diesel section.
The 2.25 (Petrol and Diesel) section lists the rod caps at 27-30 ft/lbs and the mains at 96-100 ft/lbs. This is what I'll use till somebody can tell me the correct torques for the 2.5 diesel.
Can anyone help? I know this isn't a series engine, but my 2.5 is installed in my SIII....
For members of other forums, please forgive me if you've read this same post elsewhere, because I've cross-posted to cover all the bases.
