Something I've struggled with over the years. I know there are the new center cubby boxes with drink holders.

I'm interested in seeing where you put yours in a series rig.

a Dunkin Donuts medium coffee cup fits perfectly in the dash to the right of the wheel, slightly 'smushed in' to stay put.... :)

duct tape. actually a 2" roll of duct tape. set it on the middle seat, the sticky edge of the roll keeps it pretty much put and the hole in the middle fits a canned beverage or most travel mugs. i'd love to take credit for this but badvibes turned me on to this trick. and of course duct tape is a must have item for field repairs

I use one to hold a PLB on the window. Never comes off.

Call is sacrilege or even anti-mcgyver but I have switched to "gaffers tape" (http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?lt1=_blank&bc1=000000&IS2=1&bg1=FFFFFF&fc1=000000&lc1=0000FF&t=powporpro-20&o=1&p=8&l=as1&m=amazon&f=ifr&md=10FE9736YVPPT7A0FBG2&asins=B000A2YA4U) which is amazing stuff... it has a slightly more fabric nature and a glue that is just amazingly strong.

During this last snow I discovered the cup holder capabilities as well - fantastic! A good tape roll holds a thermos style mug full of hot tea perfectly

use a ram-mount for mounting the GPS to the windshield - they are excellent for holding stuff.

like others, duct tape holds my cans although it is in the cubby box.

have to look into "gaffers" tape.

Gaffers Tape: What has a dark side, a light side and holds the universe together.

I spent several years hanging above theaters doing lighting work with gaffers tape and a leatherman. Great stuff : )

My SIII rover is at the shop so no photo, but the cup holder setup in it is pretty sweet- its attached to the back of the center seat, so you can flip it down and use it. I also have my stereo system mounted there- a logitech ipod speaker system, have an adaptor wired in as well as and adaptor for plugging it in when I'm in the garage working on it, which has been more often than driving...

I bought some just like this on Ebay (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/FOLDING-ADJUSTABLE-DRINK-CUP-HOLDER_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem518f734466QQitem Z350299047014QQptZBoatQ5fPartsQ5fAccessoriesQ5fGea r). Don't recall which seller, but this one is a good example. Mounted it against the seat base by my ankle near the tunnel housing. Flips down when I need it and holds a drink well and within easy reach. Flips up when you don't need it.

I picked up a case logic sleeve type holder at target. It has a mouldable hook to mount it, that I fitted over the top edge of my series IIA dashboard. It holds a 20oz reusable coffee mug nicely, and keeps me from driving with one hand, while holding coffee with the other. Not an easy task in this type of rig!

I cut a piece of three inch pvc residential waste drain pipe about three inches long and glued it with silicone sealant to the tunnel cover aft of the shifter has worked well.

Go to a marine store. The best thing about this holder is that it will keep your beverage upright even if you are laying your truck down on it's side. Don't ask how I know that.

Tip of the hat to you sir, that's a good idea. "belenjack" that's not Belen New Mexico is it?

cost of Coke $0.60
cost of Autozone cup holder $2.00

Not having a wet crotch after the Series goes over a slight bump in the road: Priceless!

Besides, that's the only thing those worthless "demister" vents are good for!

I used one of the bicycle bottle holders and mounted it on the seat box just behind the transfer levers. No one ever sits there anyhow-unlike how some seem to manage:rolleyes:. This way, you can go as cheap or as fancy as you want. Holds onto a medium slurpee or 710ml bottle nicely.:thumb-up:

They still do not address what happens with your rover on it's side.....

If one lays their Series on it's side I have to assume that one already had too many "beverages" so spillage is just karma.:D

I would have a brown streak in my underwear if I layed mine on its side, to heck with the coffee spillage!

No adult beverages involved at all. The only way one can learn the limits.

That's a pretty typical situation where a Series got tired and laid down for a nap. They are old trucks after all.
