Mine does, seemingly alot...Any ideas on how to lower the rate of oil loss would be very helpful. It seems to come from all bolts on the back of the case, and the filler plug.

Can I take the bolts out one at a time and wrap with teflon (plumber's) tape?

Best,
Griswald

Why don't you give Ray Woods a call. He really stands behind his products. My Roverdrive was flawless. Did not leak at all.

The Washers under the attachment bolt heads on the Roverdrive require a special sealing washer. They are not totally uncommon. We use them a lot on aircraft, for filter bowls etc., and I believe I have seen them at the local parts store as well. They are ususally made of aluminum with a rubber gasket "stamped" into the inside diameter of it. I know from personal experience as well that the Roverdrive will leak from those bolts if those washers are not installed, or are damaged. Teflon tape around the theads will not help as that is at the wrong end of where the leak comes from. I have found that installing those bolts with the proper washers smeared with RTV works perfectly :thumb-up:.

Thanks,
Do you mean something like this? (Stat-O-Seal washers)

Exactly! :thumb-up: I would suggest still using a dab of RTV on install. It'll help seal, while also lubricating the rubber on the washer to prevent tearing.

Mine does not leak. (knock on wood or head) I have been very happy with the roverdrive.

I installed a new Roverdrive about two months ago and that's about the only part of the transmission that doesn't leak. I second the comment that Ray Wood is super helpful and probably can get you new sealers/washers or even new bolts. He was a great help to us while we were installing our unit. We even got Christmas cards from them!
