Question on sun shields

My 64 IIa has a sun shield bolted to the top of the regular hard top so this has to be added later. The thing that puzzles me is that it does not have the four bumps where the vents are. Was the sun shield ever offered with out vents?

Yes, I had a 1970 88" that had this option. The Rover was in original but rough shape when i got it. It was originally a Florida Power & Light truck, one of many ordered that way from what i was told by the chap i bought it from.

Is your top the regular style with the smaller side windows and tail gate/hatch at the rear?
