Land Rover Factory Rebuilt Engine Question

Working on my SIII 109 the other night and I noticed this brass plate on the side of the engine block. I wiped off the grease and found out it is a factory Land Rover rebuilt engine plate with a serial number - any idea of how to track down the serial number off this to see when the rebuilt engine was installed? Thanks.

I'd check with the British Motoring Heritage museum (or something like that) they have the records from Land Rover and might be able to track it down. I've heard that LR didn't keep great records so it might be though to trace.
