Silly tailgate question

Hi folks,
May seem like a silly question but I'm switching to a tailgate on my 88" and I'm trying to figure out how the tailgate "bumper" rubbers attach. I'm talking about these:

(Thx for the pic George).There's a notch molded into them but I can't for the life of me figure out where the notch goes. Can someone snap a pic of these if you have them properly installed. (Or describe it well??). I'm not exactly a rivet counter but before I start drilling holes, I'd like to at least think I'm putting these in the right position.

Oh, I get it. The tabs go over the cupped part that my replacement panels don't have. Mystery solved. Thanks. JO
